Wow...update LOOOONG overdue!!! Work has been crazy, I've been ill several times now...just no time to get everything done!! I got a viral infection that kicked my MD into high gear. I spent 2 days sitting as still as a mouse to keep the room from spinning. When I went back to work, I was informed I was suspended for 6 days (2 working weeks for me, folks!!) for calling in sick. So I had 2 weeks off to contemplate why I'm working for a company who doesn't give a rat's behind for their employees. Needless to say, I did go back anyway. They changed my schedule and I'm now working Thrus - Sat, which I hate hate hate....and they had me closing for 3 nights, which meant 10 - 10 1/2 hr days. Talk about exhausting!!! Now I'm recovering from either a very bad chest cold or broncitis. I can bark better than a seal!!

This cold or whatever it is is really taxing my strength. Between coughing my lungs out (let me light another cigarette here please) and blowing my nose with about 6 kleenixes each time, just walking from gate to gate is pure torture!! And the closing nights, while easy, were even worse because I had been on my feet constantly for the 8 hrs before. But bills have to be paid, right??

Tonite I had the supreme pleasure of watching a dear friend from WOSIB (Women of Strength and Inner Beauty - a group I belong to) get married in the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas online. The short but very special ceremony was so moving, their kiss as husband and wife was so touching, and Idgie, as we call her, made a special point to "toss" me the bouquet!!! I want her to know I caught it and now all I need is a man to get married to. Any takers????

Sorry, too exhausted to write much lately. Between the job, the MD giving me fits, and trying to stay afloat financially, I'm about to go under!! I try so hard to keep things up, but my apt is a mess, my laundry is piled up, and to top it off, my cable was shut off again. I loaned my wireless internet modem to my son, so its going to be worse than pulling teeth to get it back from him, I can't watch tv with closed caption because the antenna doesn't bring in the picture clear enough, and my favorite character is being killed off on one of my soap operas. Oh come on...I watch soaps to get away from reality, and killing this character is making NO sense!!! He's been on the show for about 12 years now and has ties with so many of the others on the show. Why are they killing him?? For a freaking storyline (which sucks big time)??? I'm tempted to never watch it again.

Enough of the self pity stuff. On a positive note, my grandchildren are doing just fine. Fallon's speech is so much more clear these days (I don't have as much trouble understanding her these days) and Thomas is one step short of walking!! Little man is almost 8 months old and crawls everywhere. Just like his daddy, he's into everything, and has such a mischievous smile!!! Its almost as if he KNOWS he's doing wrong...LOL Fallon is being much better with him; yesterday Radonna got up and freaked out when Fallon's door was open. She finally found her in the kitchen, making him a bottle. Poor thing, she didn't get it right, but its the thought that counts. She even allows him to play with certain toys of hers, on a limited basis. She's getting there!!

I'm going through extreme computer withdrawals, which is why I'm writing this and not making graphics!!
